Community involvement
Volunteering for students, schools and the wider community
My hands-on service includes environmental and cultural education, youth robotics, and sustained involvement across Milpitas schools.
Environmental education & awareness
Creating awareness through community activities
As a Milpitas Environmental and Sustainability Commissioner, I promote environmental education and awareness through Earth Day programs, film screenings and Go Electric Milpitas outreach. These activities help residents learn about clean energy, electrification and ways to build a more sustainable Milpitas.

Cultural Officer at Nonprofit Language School (ITA)
ITA teaches Tamil language and culture through year-round weekend classes serving around 300 students. As Cultural Officer, I help organize festival celebrations and the annual year-end program, where students showcase dance, drama, singing and other talents through a variety of performances.

My husband and I formed a middle school FIRST LEGO League team, taught and trained the students, and led the team through the full competition season. The team earned first place for programming at the Northern California East Bay District championship and was also recognized for robot design.

Why I'm running
Education changed my life. Service is how I give back.
Throughout my children's school years, I have volunteered in our schools and community because I have seen how education opens doors and shapes a student's future.
As an MUSD parent and technology professional with more than 20 years of experience, I bring a family's perspective, analytical thinking and collaborative problem-solving. I am running to expand opportunity for every student, support educators and strengthen public education in the community I call home.
